How I Became a Feng Shui Millionaire at 36

My name is Tony Lau.  I just want to share my story here of how I became a Feng Shui Millionaire at age 36.  So I am 38 now.  I started the YouTube channel earlier this year as a way to give back to the community.  There is a lot of knowledge in the Feng Shui world that is kept secret, and I want to share the information with the rest of the world. I was born in Hong Kong.  My mother was really into Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology, she frequently gets our lives analyzed when my siblings and I were young.  I ended up studying with my first mentor through this customer relationship that my parent established. Then I came to the United States with my parents during the 90s.  I kept in contact with my mentor back in Hong Kong, and I make attempt to re-visit Hong Kong each year.  Eventually, I lost contact with him, and later I found out that he passed away. I have studied under different mentors since then. Eventually, I opened my own Feng Shui practice here in Utah in 2007.  Up until that

Picking Your Feng Shui Name 📛

Today I will go through why naming has such importance in the Feng Shui world.  Picking a good name can boost your career, help with publicity, and create good luck.  This is why some celebrities decide to change their name when their career takes off, or go with a stage name. On the contrary, picking a bad name might create some unnecessary bad luck, impact career, and in the worst-case scenario... causing death.

There are various ways of Feng Shui masters picking names for individuals.  The popular method seems to be counting pen strokes.  I was taught this method as well when I was following my third mentor.  However, it rarely seems to work, so I stick with the original method I learned from my very first mentor, Master Fung.

He used the traditional elemental method based on the elements you need in life.  I further refined this method based on your season of birth.  For example, if you are a summer-born, then you will most likely need Water and Metal.  If you are an autumn/winter born, then you will most likely need Fire and Wood.

Every word or name regardless of the language has some sort of meaning to it that can be associated with one of the five elements.  We would pick our names, our kid's names, based on the elemental definition to reinforce that person's life.

Let's take a look at my English name:

Tony Lau

Tony was a name I picked for myself in English class growing up in Hong Kong.   I stuck with it after migrating to the United States.

It was used by many Italian migrates.  Dictionary said it can mean something luxurious and stylish.  One of the most common ways of using is on vehicles, such as cars and boats.  The word involves a lot of movement, hence, this name is affiliated with the Water element.

Lau is a translation from my Chinese last name, so let's take a look at my Chinese name:

劉 永 鋒

Ironically, my mother went to my first mentor to pick my name, and I ended up becoming his student later in life.

In Chinese culture, we put our surname first, so Lau is the first word.  The easiest way to determine the element is by the Radical.  It's similar to the alphabet in English, we use it to sort and find words in the dictionary.

The radical for 劉 is this right part that stands for 刀, and 刀 means Knife, which is made from Metal, therefore 劉 is a Metal element character.

The second word in my Chinese name is 永, and the radical is 水, and 水 means Water in Chinese, so naturally, 永 is a Water element character.

The last word in my Chinese name is 鋒, and the radical is 金, and 金 means Gold in Chinese, so you guess it, Gold is Metal, therefore the whole word 鋒 is a Metal element character.

This is actually common practice on how Chinese parents pick names for their kids.

So my entire name is filled with Metal-Water-Metal and I was born in the summer.

My very first Feng Shui mentor Master Fung actually wrote an article on this when Bruce Lee is still alive.  He even had a newspaper clipping in his office.

Master Fung said in the article that if Bruce Lee doesn't change his Chinese stage name, Lee Siu Lung, literally translate to Lee Little Dragon, he will not live much longer.

So Bruce got really upset and called up the newspaper, then to Master Fung.  He thought this random Feng Shui master was trying to blackmail him, the up-and-coming celebrity for money.  Master Fung calming told him that he just wants to help and even offered his service for free of charge to him.  Obviously, Bruce didn't listen to him, and later that year, Mr. Bruce Lee passed away later that year.  Coincidence?  I will let you guys decide.

2021 Sheep

Now for the proudest zodiac sign, Sheep, or some prefers to say "Goat"?  Regardless of how you identify your zodiac animal, you can determine you are either a sheep or goat if  you were born any one of these years: 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, and 2015 This year Sheep will be Charging Tai Sui, meaning you are the zodiac sign that is 6 years apart from the current zodiac sign.  It represents a change in your relationship. At a glance, it will be better for folks that were born in the Spring and Summer season, particularly due to the Wood & Fire elemental neutralize Metal Ox this year.  While it will be for the worse for those born in the Autumn and Winter season.  A good year to stay on the defensive, perform a cleansing, and reflect on life. It is a year of change for Sheep this year, you can expect many updates in life in areas such as relationships, living situations, and careers.  The changes in relationships can come in many forms, either good or ba

2021 Tiger

Continue with the next zodiac sign, Tiger.  To determine whether you are a Tiger or not, see if you were born in any of these years: 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, 2022 (are you from the future?) It is going to be a decent year for Tiger, your wealth is ranked fifth this year out of the 12 zodiac signs.  The fifth place is actually quite good this year, mainly because there are 4 other exceptionally well sign: Ox, Dragon, Sheep, and Dog that are better than you. The positive stars that follow Tiger this year consist of the Red Joyous star and the Sun star. Whether you are married or not, this will benefit you. Red Joyus is the best cherry blossom star - loosely translated from the direct translation of "peach blossom".  It is basically a symbolic meaning of a relationship.  The cherry blossoms are positive.  Everyone will think of you as a better-looking person this year. Any type of social encounter will become more successful this year whether be for love,

Ox 2021

Welcome to the year of Metal Ox that officially starts on February 3, 2021.  2020 is not quite over year in terms of the zodiac calendar year. If you were born in these years, then you are an Ox: 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, 2021 Ox by nature is an Earth-Water element sign, which will be great for nullifying some of the clashes created by Fire and Metal in 2020. Every time you reach your own year, you will be Committing Tai Sui, which inevitably creates negative emotions.  This year will hit the worst for those turning age 36.  It is slightly better for those turning 48.  For those that are turning 12, I would just worry about their mental state from school pressure.  We had to deal with a lot of changes with 2020 for our school system.  Those that are turning 24, worry about minor injury, some early relationship issues, and perhaps a chance of marriage. As for those who are in the 60, watch for health, stay alert on teeth health, if the lip area gets darkened, go se
